If anybody is asked, ‘What is the most easy and most difficult thing in life?’ What could be our answer? Many would remain silent. We will start gusting within self. The time will prolong and no answer would come to us. Dr. APJ Kalam, former president of India, was asked by a student, Sir, what is the most easy and most difficult thing in life?’, he replied, “Mistake”. He said mistake is “easy to judge when others do it. Difficult to realize when we do it.”
Mistake is associated with our daily activities. We tend to know and realize what others are doing is bad. But we never ever thought and realized our mistake and error in our everyday life. We always think I am ok, a mistake is with others. Other is not good, I am good, other is not doing, I am doing.
‘Mistake’ is a common phenomenon that we came cross daily and can not escape from it. For instance, former president of India himself has crossed so many mistakes and obstacles in his lifetime. This is clearly reflected in his autobiography, “The Wing of Fire“. As a thinker and brilliant man he was prepared to conquer all his ‘mistake’ and ‘obstacles’ because he understands ‘mistake’ can be rectified through some approaches or mechanisms. That’s why he became an aerospace scientist, later as the 11th President of India from 2002 to 2007.
Instead of evaluating others mistake and gossiping, better to comprehend our mistake and revise subsequently. Judge our own mistake before we talk and speak about others. Be vigilant in pointing others’ mistakes; it just brings resistance, internal conflict and chaos in our relationships. Till date, I am also a victim of judging others mistake and never worried where am I going wrong? I only thought I am ok and problem is with others. Now, I take new lesson to learn and correct myself.
